As of now, the all-purpose enclosure series 8150 of R. STAHL in type of protection Ex e is available in another special version. Besides a standard wall thickness of 1.5 mm or 2 mm, the enclosures will in future also be available with a wall thickness of 3 mm. The terminal boxes made of stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) are particularly suitable for harsh environments. With IK degree of protection IK09 and IP degree of protection IP67, the enclosure is ideally equipped for every application. Thanks to the high-quality, durable sealing materials, they reliably protect the installed technology for a long time even in extreme ambient conditions.

Then there is the new optional equipment: a circumferential EMC contact spring on the inner side of the cover or the flange. It reduces interferences from outside - in view of the increasing use of digital components like sensors, actuators or control technology in the process facilities.

The enclosure series 8150 was designed particularly user-friendly to allow safe and easy handling in the daily routine. Among other things, an extensive range of enclosure accessories is available for this series. Besides external flange plates, which are easy to install, a snap-in door opener or the modular design of the internal structure, the enclosures are also available with screw cover or hinged cover with cam lock.

The enclosures are suitable for use in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 and are applicable almost everywhere in the world, due to their numerous regional, country-specific and sector-specific certifications. Besides ATEX and IECEx as well as NEC, they are also certified pursuant to cULus, TR CU, CQST, ULB, GL, DNV, KGS, PESO, NEPSI and ITRI. From compact terminal boxes, 116x116x91 mm, up to large cabinets, 1.000x800x300 mm, numerous different sizes are available.
