R. STAHL-Electromach will take care of explosion protection and reduce the project risk by means of qualified services from design through to certification and plant inspection. A container system can perform a number of functions, such as machine control, VFD, UPS or power distribution, although these are often accompanied by significant thermal loads. With manned container solutions, right from the design phase, we focus on the comfort of your workforce and integrate modern air-conditioning and ventilation systems. Regardless of whether you prefer pressure regulation by means of ventilation (Ex p) or other important protection methods, we will include the usability and cost implications from the early design decisions. Thanks to the latest 3D design combined with multidisciplinary engineering, in addition to complete production on site, we will considerably speed up your project processing time.

R. STAHL-Electromach designs and produces container systems for operations, in customer-specific plants. Our project management team will help you with process optimisation from the start of the project through to commissioning, including on-time delivery, transport, documentation and certification. We also offer you additional services such as an extended factory acceptance test (FAT) as well as a global on-site service for site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, explosion inspection, modification, repair and maintenance.

System solutions from R. STAHL-Electromach meet the requirements of the IEC, NEC, EN and ATEX certifications. Along with producing efficient and cost-effective designs, we make no compromises in the hardware, software and safety standards we use.

As additional services, we can provide you with the verification of FMEDA, mechanical, electrical, intrinsic and functional safety (SIL). We design our control solutions using the latest ergonomic remote or local HMI technologies which provide valid diagnostics data and clear user information.

A smart solution is lightweight, mobile and energy-efficient. And to achieve this, we combine over 20 different explosion protection methods. With innovative designs, we overcome conventional component-based limitations on equipment size, thermal load and space requirements. As a result, we reduce the need for expensive certified internal Ex components and cabinets. 

Our multi-disciplinary project team will help you to choose the right – and the most sophisticated – explosion protection combinations, taking into consideration function, environment, energy efficiency and project requirements. Starting early on in the design phase, we focus particularly on sustainability in the production and selection of preferred materials.

We are NEC-, ATEX- and IECEx-certified in relation to explosion protection. We are also TÜV-certified for functional safety and are an in-house certified system integrator for most conventional PLC platforms.
