Our powerfulISbus fieldbus solutionshave been developed for installation in Zone 1 together with PROFIBUS PA and Foundation Fieldbus H1. The High-Power-Trunk concept in combination with a wide range of accessories enables us to provide one of the most effective installation solutions for hazardous areas. R. STAHL´s field device couplers with up to 12 channels feature an integrated power management and stand for FISCO/Entity and cost optimisation in Zone 1, together with a wide range of field enclosures – also available as customised designs. R. STAHL's power supplies feature a unique Advanced Physical Layer Diagnosis with a scaleable diagnosis concept. They are available as a single or redundant version, and further options include a smartphone app and a powerful DTM. We are already working on Ethernet APL, a future solution for intelligent human-machine and machine-machine communication. As a twisted-pair Ethernet solution, APL can cover large distances of up to 1000 m, with transmission rates of 10 MBit/s full-duplex for up to 50 field devices, and, as an intrinsically safe version, it can be used in Zones 0 and 1.
FIELD DEVICE COUPLERS, 4 OR 8 SPURS, SERIES 9411/11
This series has been developed for the connection of up to 4 or 8 Foundation Fieldbus H1 or PROFIBUS PA field devices to the High Power Trunk. These spurs with type of protection e can be used for fieldbus devices in Zone 1 (d, q, m) and are protected by a short-circuit limiting function. The integrated power management minimises start-up and short-circuit currents – available with screw or spring clamp terminals.

Our 9411/21 series field device couplers with galvanic separation for Zone 1 can be used for interference-free connection of 4 or 8 FF H1 or PROFIBUS PA field devices to the High Power Trunk. The spurs (type of protection ia) can be used for fieldbus devices in Zones 1 and are protected by a short-circuit limiting function. The integrated power management minimises start-up and short-circuit currents. Available with screw or spring clamp terminals.
