Ex camera e connection R. STAHL

Owing to the innovative design of its enclosure, R. STAHL's new series EC-940-AFZ HD zoom cameras with day/night function can be installed directly in hazardous areas zones 1, 21 and 2, 22. This universal device has been developed for the surveillance of systems and premises, for detailed monitoring. They are Ex d protected camera enclosures with an integrated Ex e connection box. This extremely economical solution simplifies installation, making time-consuming connections a thing of the past.

Using its WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), the 32x zoom autofocus camera produces clear video images with strong contrasts even in difficult light. The defog function ensures reliable motive recognition in fog, drizzle, smog or smoke. Thanks to the ONVIF Profile S interface, integration into modern video surveillance networks is easy and data transmission of the video stream is secure. Automatic device recognition is also included.

The standard IP version inside a robust, weather-proof enclosure made of electropolished stainless steel has IP66 and can operate in temperatures ranging from -55 °C to +65 °C. The lens is protected with hardened, temperature- and chemicals-resistant borosilicate glass. For transmission over long distances up to 5 km and for maximum EMC protection, R. STAHL's portfolio includes a version with FO connection. Furthermore, the devices are also available with Power over Ethernet connection (PoE++), which reduces the installation time and cost even further, since a network cable is all that is required.
