A power failure in your own home is inconvenient, but it can at best be easily dealt with. However, in an office building spread over several floors or a hazardous areas such as a chemistry laboratory or electrical operating area, a general power supply failure can result in a critical situation. In this case, emergency lighting must be triggered immediately and fully.

Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting includes

  • Safety lighting for escape and emergency routes.
  • Safety lighting for work areas with special hazards.
  • Anti-panic lighting.

Emergency Lighting System

An emergency lighting system provides a minimum amount of lighting and illuminates escape routes from buildings. The necessary power is supplied from an in-house energy source, e.g. a single battery system, a group battery system or a central battery system. The electro technical demands on Ex emergency lighting systems in terms of planning, building and operating are clearly defined in various national and international standards. Compliance with these regulations is extremely important when it comes to the liability of the operator and possible insurance payments after an emergency.
