Listed for hazardous locations as per markings (available on datasheet), the 8166/11 conduit hubs are suitable for installations of rigid conduits with ½” to 3” NPT threads to metallic and non-metallic enclosures with appropriate ratings. They are made of zinc and provide a watertight seal by means of an embedded “O” ring.

Additionally, the ground locknut comes with a rated terminal for ground wire. The locknut has a screw connection to provide a secondary and solid ground so that grounding is maintained in the system.

Stopping plugs must maintain the integrity of the enclosure for environmental purposes as well as hazardous ratings such as Class I, II, Divisions 1 & 2, and Zone 1 and 2.  Stopping plugs are made of different materials such as stainless steel, FRP, or Nickel Plated Brass. 

When a DIN rail needs to be isolated from a back panel, our insulating stand offs, 158828, is the perfect solution. Easy to attach to the back panel and to the DIN rail while providing electrical insulation. With a size of less than 2 inches long by less than 1 inch wide, it is a compact solution for any DIN rail NS35/15. When using zener barriers, a stand off is an excellent accessory to help manage grounding requirements.
